moving

So, it's vaguely occurring to me that I need to move across the country in a few weeks. How do you even do that? I know, I've moved country-to-country, but that's different, because then you're not supposed to bring your huge collection of physics textbooks, etc.

Yesterday I broke down and cleaned up this room I'm living in. You see, the other residents of this apt are all busy packing things up because they have to move out in a week. This meant the living room was all cluttered so I actually sought refuge in this room.. which desperately needed cleaning (and MattJ's furniture is now out in the backyard... shhh!).

It's quite bizarre to actually have a room of my own. Too bad I have to move out next week.

(P.S. do you live in San Diego? Can I live with you?)

argentina plans have been abandoned entirely. it's less disappointing than expected, since it delays the break-up with the current boyfriend by about two months, AND i realize i'd be ten times more stressed if i was trying to leave the country in the midst of moving and starting school. so i'm almost relieved.

i'm leaving in the middle of august for seattle, then driving back to minneapolis at the start of september. then maybe spending a day or two around here before flying back to put down my roots in seattle for a few years.
