Mitt liv som Tobin

It's a long drive from Rochester to Québec (province) but well worth it. Earlier today I walked out on a lake on the solid ice surface out amongst the ice fishermen. I approached some who were drilling a new hole, two men holding a big motorized corkscrew auger contraption. Apparently this is faux pas—they stared at me oddly. Still! Incredible! Walking on a lake! Delicious dinner tonight at nearby restaurant in Plateau du Montreal, staying at the wonderful auberge chez jean which is a destination unto itself.
