Who knew, there is a piece of France nestled amongst the Canadian maritime provinces?

In canadian public school they teach you this fact over and over again, like every couple of days. To the point where it serves as a suitable punchline to any statement concerning canadian geography or regionalism. "How do you think they eat their eggs and toast ... in Saint Pierre and Miquelon?!?"

You could probably use knowledge of this as an iron clad citizenship check in a foreign context. Anyone who doesn't know it and claims to be canadian is a liar.
