nibotSo many successful small errands today:
* Scoped out the university library
* Got a Mensa (cafeteria) card
* Bought new shoes
* Visited the bike store (ATB sport) to work on finally getting the bike I won
* Worked at the glider workshop for 3 hours in the evening
It's become quite cold here in Hannover: 12 degrees F this morning! I greatly prefer the frozen, clear weather to the muddy, rainy weather we were having up until now.
Kate and I might go visit the sort-of-nearby Harz mountains this weekend. I would like to try skiing (I never have!). Unfortunately, I suspect that every single inhabitant of Lower Saxony might have this same idea.
At the glider workshop tonight the main activity was to shuffle the airplanes around. We moved the two airplanes we've been working on (the AFH 22 and AFH 24, both home-built by the glider club) into their trailers, and moved the Astir and ASK 21 from the hangar to the workshop. It's exciting to begin work on the ASK 21 since it's the primary training aircraft.
Day pass for the tram: € 5
Mensa card: € 5 deposit + € 50 credit
Lunch at the Mensa: € 5
New shoes: € 30
Groceries: € 10
