excursion in iberville parish

Took a little afternoon excursion with Emily (and Little Dog), down River Road where we walked along the levy and enjoyed the country landscape. We took a small ferry across the Mississippi river to Plaquemine and made a circuit coming up highway 1 to the Huey Long bridge (I-10). I'd like to go watch the barges go through the locks from the river to the Intracoastal Canal sometime, in Port Allen.

reading tobin's recent Little Dog posts is really exciting and fun. it's like watching a dramatic reality tv show or a soap opera or something. i hope Little Dog gets to stay.
