Any DeLorean owners out there?

The LIGO arms are plenty long enough to get up to 88 miles per hour when driving on the access roads beside them. I propose that you drive your DeLorean down the road and we use our instrument to measure resulting perturbations of the spacetime metric.

Heh. Somewhat related, at the Maryland LSC meeting in December a few people at the hotel bar were talking about using LIGO to detect starships going into warp.
