soooooo boring

Right now I'm really wishing I made it out of here and got to John's party. I know he would have liked it, I know I would have liked it, I know everyone else is down there, but I had these sux0ring obligations up here. And now everyone is gone for spring break, so it's dull and quiet, NOT TO MENTION that I now feel totally alienatated (see foregoing) in my own home.
The "We are your housemates and I am hurt and angered by your lack of support on a very basic, emotional level" is the part that actually hurts. Geeze. I feel like I've tried so hard to get to know everyone on a personal level (not to all that great a level of success, but it's hard) and it's like, "fine, not only did we not even notice, but we don't even care." Granted this message was from Livi which drives it to the point of ridiculousness. But still. (1) "Your criticisms" -- it was a speech by the mayor! His criticisms, not mine. I agree with him, but still, this makes it sound like I have been a chronic antagonist; (2) "were you there? Were you arrested?" -- I think the substance of the speech makes it pretty clear why I wasn't. (3) "how the police were behaving towards disobedient citizens?" Arresting them, I imagine. Key phrase: "disobedient citizens." (4) "imperial aspect of San Francisco" -- Isn't this an anti-war protest? Anyway. It's irritating to live in an environment where a statement to the effect of "the system may not be completely broken" results in castigation as a fascist sympathizer.
