Are you seriously claiming your desk looks that good at a random point in time?!
I'll spare you the picture, but how bout ...8 scattered sticky notes, 6 paper pads, 4 paper file folders, 4 reference books, 3 pens, 2 loose pen caps (those are important), 2 (no, 4) pulled disk drives, 3 jump drives, speakers, msg machine, cup jammed full of pens, another cup (just in case?), ...and that's a third of what's above floor level. The most important item of all: my bag of not quite finished chocolate chips.
Wow. I'm inspired. I'll have to take a picture of my so called desk at work. Truth in advertising- it's not at all totally under my control. My colleague makes the sloppiest person on earth look like a neat freak. Fortunately, we get along great because we both concentrate on the "big picture," that is, product is more important than appearance, ie, great lessons for the kids are more important than a neat desk.
