fossil fuels
Dec. 23rd, 2007 12:26 amSupposing that we have already passed the time of peak oil production, my question for you is this: in what year will we see fewer cars on California roads than in the previous year?
At what point will the Interstate Highways be fossil roads, abandoned relics, like the decaying steel towns of Pennsylvania, like the Erie Canal?
When will Phoenix be Detroit?
Or will someone invent the coal-powered car and doom us all? (The plug-in Prius actually burns coal.)

My other question is: how can we make money off of this?

Date: 2007-12-24 06:11 pm (UTC)Dig up companies that 'get it' in regards to energy efficiency - like MMM or Toyota - or companies that will be booming in the coming negawatt harvest - insulation, high perf glazing and the like (who should be tanking along with the building market at the moment... I'll be chasing this lead for my annual retirement fund buy). It's getting tougher to do this since every company is claiming to be green. The sexy green companies, like fuel cell or battery tech houses, are already quite overvalued IMH(and honestly poor in the area of finance)O.
