It's just come to my attention* that I have an Erdös Number of 5 via the LIGO Collaboration (which includes Kip Thorne, who has Erdos Number 4). It does kind of seem like cheating to utilize a paper with 419 authors to make the connection, however.

Reading your post made me look up if I have a chance. And turns out I have. (Erdos - Schulman, Leonard, J. Y - Andris Ambainis - me). That makes my Erdos number 3. Jeeez. Of course, my involvement in the paper was quite insignificant, so was the paper, but still - kinda cool. :)

Wow, that's pretty amazing. What were the papers?

Want to coauthor something? (-:

The paper I coauthored with Ambainis was really insignificant. It was something about quantum automata complexity vs "normal" finite state automata. We were looking for degenerate cases that would have maximum complexity for normal automata, while being really easy for quantum. The result was really insignificant, and it was "coauthored" with 8 or so other people.

Seems that you are working on really cool stuff though. :) So, would you like to put my name on your paper? :)
