In a fit of desperation, I drove myself out to the suburbs yesterday. I wandered the aisles of Borders briefly, until I couldn't take it anymore. (Excepting a few small hole-in-the-wall dealers, I believe there are no decent bookstores within the Rochester city limits.)

At Target I bought myself goodies:
- new socks!
- a clippy halogen lamp!
- notebook paper!
- a thermometer!

And now, dear reader, you are enlightened.

A Question

Why exactly does Target = good, Borders = bad, In n Out = good but Starbucks = bad?

Lack of consistency bothers me immensely.

Target is only good in comparison to its competition (Walmart), and the entire flight to Suburbia was one of desperation.

inconsistency bothers me too

target donates millions to schools each year.

um, word, I think... here read (http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=12289), if life was a non-zero sum game, like I have long preached, good versus bad should come down to how the majority benefit...
