I should have known that we aren't out of the woods yet: it may have been 72 deg F yesterday, but snow showers are scheduled for Saturday.

I'm happy because the two applicants to the physics department who I was lobbying to come here did choose to come here.

I am very sleepy!

yes! the prospective student i hosted who was trying to choose between here and caltech chose here! which, i think, validates my decision. so i'm glad i suckered him into it.

not the kansas one! ?

did you ask the visiting student why (s)he went to rochester?

nice picture of the geophysical institute by the way. i've always found that building rather attractive.

yes! the kansas one!

the undergrad from rochester was from upstate new york. he seemed to like living in rochester an awful lot, though.

attractive? it's very... cubic. i'm just entranced by the gigantic satellite dish.

wow. awesome!

what'd the rochester kid decide?

yes, it's definitely the antenna that makes the building. the white/silver building next door is also neat.. i forget what it's called. and that mural by the entrance to the geophysical inst.
