We live on a tree-lined country lane:

Ryan (four) posted some pictures of the interior, including a music video tour!

It takes about 15 minutes to walk to campus, passing by a CVS/pharmacy, the enormous complex of the Strong Memorial Hospital, and the even more enormous Mt. Hope Cemetary.

This makes those warnings about how much we have to study seem a little more dire:

It's amazing how pretty it is here in the summertime. It was pretty in February too, but now everything is so vigorously green. This is the Quad in front of Rush Rhees Library.

it is a super house! (my caltech friends would go so far as to call is a hovse, which I have learned is something very special) I am a bit jealous: those floors are gorgeous, and in better shape than ours at the grad college. it looks awesome, and I hope you're settling in nicely: god knows that the first semester of grad school takes of like a space rocket, and there are not even seatbelts!!
