Adventures in too-complicated travel arrangements

I must report: due to a mixup on my part, my award ticket fell through -- so it looks like it's a regular expensive ticket for me this time.

I had mistakenly made a duplicate reservation, which resulted in my desired reservation being cancelled - and then it was no longer available for booking. )-:

I think I will fly:
* HAJ to LHR to LAX on December 19th on British Airways
* LAX to DUS on December 30th on Air Berlin

If anyone is flying on American Airlines this winter, it might pay to register for promotions AATHX (double miles on AA-operated flights) and AAEUR (big bonuses for Europe-US trips in some fare classes).

On the bright side: there's quite a lot of snow in Hannover today, and it's very pretty! We're going to go for a walk in the forest, and hopefully have lunch at a little cafe.
