lincoln heights party
Apr. 14th, 2007 09:26 pmLast night our awesome new mycologist/Armenian-Lebanese friends invited us to an excellent party in Lincoln Heights, a Los Angeles neighborhood just to the northeast of downtown. The party venue was superb, up a hill in a backyard with a spectacular view of downtown Los Angeles, and of the entire Los Angeles basin for that matter. Carne asada was barbecued long into the night. A band played and lots of people danced and others sang along and some even joined the band, everyone on a plywood halfpipe sitting around a coleman lantern. This is the Los Angeles I imagined. On the way home we stopped at a 24 hour donut store.
