I just noticed that the old wooden chair at the desk next to me has a property sticker that says "US AEC 2681". The AEC was the predecessor of the agency for which UC runs the lab for which I work. An AEC property number of 2681 leads to belive this chair has been around for awhile!

Maybe I should check whether it's radioactive.
