new laptop!

well, not really. But I finally arranged for the Dell service to come fix my laptop's bizarre display problem. Because of that I got a new LCD (probably was only the cable that was bad), and because the plastic cover to the IrDA port was broken I got not only new casing, but a new motherboard! If you're keeping score, you'll see that I have a mostly new laptop now! And one without freakish display problems!
