easwaran) took me out to the Symphony this evening, which was a pretty fun experience. We heard four selections from Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream and then a symphony by Bruckner. I'm completely illiterate musically, but it was still fun!
Yesterday our Esperanto class got a special treat... We met up with a group of Esperantists who meet regularly at a café down on Shattuck. I could tell that Stellet was a little nervous... undoubtably hoping that her seven students would meet with the approval of the other Esperantists. It went great though; starting from the basic Kio estas via nomo? we had a really nice conversation. Xylar in particular seemed to thrive on the experience, and thanked me for "dragging" him to the first Esperanto class back in Februrary.
