Blah. Attended a German 1 class this morning. The instructor seems nice but I think the class might be too easy. We'll see -- it'll probably get harder rather quickly. I kind of like the idea of having an 8 AM class every day. (-: But I might switch it for Physics 105/112 with Chris.

Turns out the E190 section I had written down is for "non-native English speakers." Nowhere was that indicated in the schedule. I'll just have to find another section. But first, a matter of semantics: The instructor explained that "This section is for people who are proficient in a language other than English." Now, I am proficient in a language other than English, but that's not what they meant. I'd hope that a technical writing course could drop the doublespeak and say what they mean: "for those who are not proficient in English," or perhaps "for non-native English speakers."
