The Cardigans were great. They were a little weak at first (and I think the crowd was too), but gradually built up steam, until they finally concluded with a resounding performance of "my favorite game." Their new songs take a bit of getting used to - they have a sort of country-and-western twang, and the lyrics are a bit dark. But anyway, it was a fun show, and nicer in some ways than others I've been to. We ran into Toyoko and her boyfriend, and Emma and her friend Amber, and I met a cool Swedish guy named Magnus. The Swedish guy and I lamented that Kent is able to sing to a crowd of 40,000 in Stockholm, but probably not even 40,000 American have heard of them. We thought Popscene was a bit of an odd venue for such a show, but then we agreed that it was sort of reminiscent of a Nation. I wonder what the Cardigans are doing now? Lonely in some hotel room or on their gigantic bus? They should be sleeping in the living room here!

40,000 americans? you really think it's that low?!

i think any time a band gets to travel in a gigantic bus, their audience is a little larger than that.

Kent (http://www.kent.nu/) != The Cardigans (http://cardigans.com/)

a bit of a confusing entry, I guess. Kent's not too well known, but the Cardigans are international rock stars!
