It seems that my strict loyalty to Greg's pizza has finally paid off. For those of you not acquainted with my perverse habits, you should know that I eat my main meal at Greg's pizza every day. Sometimes I have breakfast or dinner there instead of or in addition to lunch, but there's at least a ninety percent chance that on any given weekday I'll be at Greg's pizza on Telegraph Avenue between 1 and 2pm doing my homework and enjoying a $2 pizza slice and my USRA of caffeine, in the form of Coca Cola, of course. In fact, one day, an anomoly I admit, I had breakfast & lunch at Gregs, then dinner at Blondie's (Greg's isn't open at 2am, unfortunately). It's fun to fit into the computer geek paradigm of subsisting almost soley on pizza and coke. Suprisingly I haven't noticed any adverse effects on my health from such a regime. Maybe the other components of my diet (oatmeal, grape juice, beans & rice, and occassionally dinner at a local Chinese establishment) balance out the pizza overdose? No one knows. Anyway, Greg greets me personally when I enter his place of business, and we compare news or talk about physics occassionally. I think he forgot my name over the summer, and I don't get an automatic 50-cent discount anymore, tho. Still, today he gave me a $10 Gift Certificate today as a way of saying thanks for keeping him in business. Well, more specifically, I think he wants to hook me and my friends on the more cosmopolitan and subsequently more expensive "Chicago Style Pizza" in order to fully capitalize upon my daily rituals. But who's to complain about free pizza?
