puppy

So, I still have a puppy. Well, a small dog. Evidence suggests she's just a little dog, not a big-dog puppy. Part chihuahua, probably, about the size of a cat, a curious creature, frenetic and adoring. Unlike the other dogs that show up at LIGO, she's clean and healthy, very well behaved. I put up some signs and contacted the local shelters, expecting her owner to call immediately, but, so far, nothing. She ate several pairs of Emily's underwear and gnawed a USB cable into a dozen pieces before finally deciding that organic puppy chow might be tasty after all. At night she burrows under the covers and sleeps curled up near my feet. I definitely do not want to become a dog owner, but I have to admit she's been fun so far.
