Meeting the people who have started Boulder Coffee Co and Flat Iron Cafe in Rochester and other new, small businesses such as Open Face Sandwich Eatery, it's abundantly obvious how much dedication these people have put into their shops, how much they have invested both in sweat and in money, how much they have risked. As a customer I know the vibrance these places bring to Rochester. As an individual pursuing my own projects, I know that these people are pursuing their dreams.
Now when I see someone entering a Starbucks, I just want to slug them in the face.
