(no subject)
Mar. 18th, 2005 01:42 pmThe statmech midterm went much better than expected. I felt that my presense at the exam would be a mere "formality," but I was able to answer all of the questions in a way satisfying to me. Also satisfying to the grader, because he will be able to mark me off on each problem for not working out the actual solutions.
I have a hankering to work on some small electronics projects. In my infinite spare time of course. It seems like I ought to be able to rustle up an o-scope, a multimeter, and a variable power supply around here, don't you think? I need small hacking projects to keep me sane.
I've been invited to a conference in Berkeley later this Spring. Once again it has nothing to do with my work in Rochester but rather the work at IGPP/SIO over the summer. I'm not sure if I'll go, but a trip to Berkeley is always nice, and the subject of the conference is interesting.
