Feb. 4th, 2005 12:47 amI like the way my stories grow in people's imaginations. I once went collecting for sea urchins around bodega bay. In
four's retelling, I was farming them. Indeed, the retelling is a new story itself: "Tobin and I were snorkeling down in Mexico.. I saw these purple spiny things on the bottom, and Tobin said, hey I used to farm those!"
Another story was about how, on a visit to the mostly-Arab town of Ramla in Israel, we found our way to an underground reservoir which we were actually able to go down into and row boats around. In
hypostatization's retelling, we had to bribe them to let us into the cisterns. I don't think we had to bribe anybody.. I mean, we did have to pay some kind of fee. I'm not even sure anymore myself, but I kind of like the new version.
