It's a white world outside. Last night the wind picked up the loose, fluffy snow from snowbanks and sent it whirling in a homogenous blast of snow and air. We shoveled out the driveway: from the street to the garage, our version of the Panama canal. This morning the sun was out, and Ryan came home after his morningly coffee venture with Brette in tow, just returned from Brazil. We had breakfasts at India Cafe and Mt. Hope Diner.
Earlier in the weekend, Megan (
barks) drove down from Canada, and joined us and Caitlin and Rob for a poker+beer fiesta, with also gin and tonics (thanks Justin), rum-spiked-mexican-hot-chocolate (thanks me and vijay), and
Elixir Végétal de la Grande-Chartreuse (thanks Rob/
hypostatization), and amusement was had by all. I was ahead in the Poker game to the very end, when I went all-in and lost to Justin.
