Stuck in Rochester

Yup. This flight was cancelled too.

You can imagine it was a terminal full of happy people when they announced that, not only was this flight cancelled, but all flights on all airlines operating out of Rochester were overbooked and also subject to cancellation, that it was pretty much a lost cause to try to get out before Christmas.

I went "door to door" to all the airlines asking for a ride home... after much pressing of the klunky keys, they all shook their heads. "Sorry, no."

When I visited here in February they gave us a tourism brochure titled, "Visit Rochester for a Weekend... or a Lifetime." This is what they mean, I think: They don't let you leave!

Orbitz, however, shows a bunch of routes home. I think I am going to go back to the airport and ask for specific flights which Orbitz thinks are free. Calling the airlines is also hopeless: their 800 numbers give a busy signal. If only I could bring the Internet to the Airport.
