I feel so woefully negligent for not blogging the entirety of AGU (well, not really). It's nice to be back in Rochester ("home sweet home"??) even if that does mean I had to take a final exam this morning (it wasn't too bad). The whole trip seemed so non sequitur. I mean, I only bought my ticket a week ago and then suddenly I was sitting in a huge lecture on sulfate levels in antarctic ice?? (Even slashdot picked up that story, oddly enough.) AGU-the-conference is a monstrous, monstrous gathering of 12,000 geophysicists (plus the odd imposter, such as myself), most of whom are either hot young grad students (!), or professors (most bearing beards). It was awesome, though, both for the science and for the escapades we had. Thanks to everyone who I did meet up with; apologies to everyone I missed. I'm glad to have made new friends, and look forward to future adventures.
