I'm gradually developing a sort of "top 10" list of Rochester institutions, places that I think are unique and generally awesome, like the Little Theatre or the Beers of the World store. Today I discovered a place that definitely warrants a spot on my list, and also provides a deepening view of the history of the cooperative movement here.

Tomorrow I am roadtripping out to Ann Arbor to attend the NASCO Institute 2004, which is the major co-op conference in North America. It's about 400 miles each way.
