Postcard from the other side
Oct. 20th, 2004 12:50 pmDear Tobin,
Why did you leave yourself logged into my computer on Livejournal? Is this some sort of master plan to convert MY office into OUR office? Or perhaps you intend to note my reaction and factor it into your grand design to turn us all into physics zombies? Hmm, if so, that's very sly. Very sly, indeed.
Respectfully yours,
vyncentvega

Subject: Emergency Shutdown of Steam to Hylan and Hutchison Hall
Members of the University Community please take notice. There is a potential loss of heat within the next 2 hours due to the need to secure the steam to Hylan & Hutchison Hall. There is a suspected
broken steam line entering Hylan. In Hutchison Hall, temperatures may get as low as 50 degrees once the steam is turned off. Please be prepared to protect all research.
By "protect all research," I believe they mean, "bring blankets for the grad students." Or, perhaps more likely, "verify that grad students are secured to their desks."

Subject: TA's and TI's
There is no GRTS on Friday, Oct. 22. Instead the TA's and TI's are expected to attend a program with Elaine Seymour on Saturday, October 23 at 0900 in CSB-109.
Yes, our friday/noon course has been rescheduled to Saturday at 9am. By the same people who schedule our grading sessions at 4-9pm friday evening, no doubt, or who decided to hold lecture on monday because "university holidays are only for undergraduates."
