Our neighbor came over today. "I've got a bee problem," she said. "I heard you know about bees."
They live about six houses down, and a bee colony has established itself happily in the hollow of a tree. They kind of like having a beehive in their yard, but are afraid someone might get stung, so they want help removing the hive. We'll do that another (cooler, less sunny) day, when the bees are less active.
But this inspired me to post photos pertaining to harvesting the honey from a modern beehive. There is much hilarity, because everyone is so much younger and is grinning in the oddest of ways.
