Hmm. Let's see.

They gave us a new car. It's a Peugeot Partner, which happens to be identical to the Citroën Berlingo. How that happens, I am not sure.

I still haven't figured out the schedule w.r.t. the water supply. It's a special moment when we have both hot and cold water... and at night, they seem to shut the water off entirely!

There are cleaning people in the hostel, but their main purpose seems to be to spy on us residents. They got on Michelle's case for having two people in a single — a conclusion they arrived at by the presense of two toothbrushes!

At work we are still testing phototubes in all the various permutations. Yesterday the beam was off, so we were able to go into the beamline and lay cables in preparation for moving the electron calorimeter (whose phototubes we are testing) into the beam. Finally got radiation badges, so that at the end of the summer I'll know just how much mutation to expect...
