Some thoughts on the Israel work:
Should get that graphics book, Computer Graphics: Principes and Practice by Foley, van Dam, Feiner, & Hughes. Is it in the Weizmann library? (yes, it appears to be) Read up on.. Euler angles, 3d volumes, osv.
Can we apply these techniques to make 3d models of macroscopic objects.. perhaps using digital camera images? The main difference, I suppose, is that these macroscopic objects are opaque, but it would be cool to make some 3d models of various tangible objects just for fun.
Current plans:
It looks like I might have to stay here in Sweden until about the 7th of June so as to re-take my Swedish test if that turns out to be necessary. Speaking of which, I have to buy my plane ticket today, so I'd better figure out what I'm doing. I'd all but decided to go home to California in August, but now wrenches are again being thrown into that status quo. Martin says I should stay here, and it's really nice to know that someone wants me to stay. And I don't want to leave Sweden! On the other hand, it will be nice to be back in California. However, I'd gotten really used to the idea that I'd be graduating in December with Chris. But Chris has (successfully!) petitioned for a nineth semester in order to get a simultaneous degree in Physics. This is really cool for him, but it makes me want to do the same (my long held desire to double degree in Math) although I'm no longer sure that's what I really want to do. But I would like to graduate together... so, well, we'll see. So far all options are still available. I think I'm going to apply to the co-ops just in case, as well.
Also today I:
- Received a letter from Gunilla Frejd from Lunds Unikversitet Antagningsavdelningen (department of admissions) saying that they have received my application to Lunds Universitet for next semester and just need to receive my TISUS certificate
- Received information on my scheduled TISUS exam which will take place on the 28th of May at 08:30 (läsförståelse), 10:15 (uppsats), and 16:30 (intervjun).
- Confirmed that the last omtenta possibility for 107/108 is the 6th of June.
Things I have to do:
- Get a plane ticket to Israel. (For the 7th, in case I have to omtenta?)
- Check my grade for SAS 107 (Sweden and the Welfare State) and collect my exam from Dan
- Study Swedish
- Study Particle Physics
- Figure out what's going on in Non-Commutative Analysis
- Sell my bicycle
