On my to-do list: Fly an airplane upside-down.

To this end, I just scheduled an aerobatic lesson at this place in Santa Paula CA for Wednesday afternoon--hopefully the weather will cooperate!

Just reading that makes me nauseous. :)

How many such lessons do you suppose it will take for you to cross that off your list?

I'm hoping to do it in the first lesson, under the guidance of an instructor of course.

A series of lessons would start more slowly, with learning to taxi and take-off and land in the tailwheel airplane, learning to put the airplane into and recover from spins, getting the high-performance aircraft endorsement.

But since I will have just one lesson (for now!) I'm intending to do a half-lesson, half-demo flight, more with a goal of getting a taste and an experience than learning what I would need to know to fly aerobatics on my own. (Motor-plane flight lessons are much cheaper and easier to find in the U.S. than in Germany.)
