I just tried to look up the water temperature there. It appears that the Florida panhandle ocean temps are in the 81 degree Fahrenheit range. Last I checked, California ocean temps were 62. ouch.

Aww, i almost miss living in Pensacola now.
Then i remember what the place was like, and want to visit for a week before running away. Enjoy it for me/us, and share the good parts! =)
(We spent 9 months in Gulf Breeze when i was 14, my dad was doing some storeroom database work at Monsanto/Solutia's nylon facility in the area.)
