As we rode through downtown towards the state capitol building we were joined by these two ladies on their electric scooters. They seemed to be having a quite a gleeful time of it!



With no pre-planned route, we rode north past the capitol, up River Road and along the outskirts of the ExxonMobil refinery. I like the color in this one. Perhaps the blurry lo-fi of the cameraphone has some charm of its own...

Fun fun fun. Packs of bicyclists make me think a better world is possible.

I worked in Baton Rouge summer before last, at the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired. If it wasn't for the climate, I could live there; just can't take that muggy heat. Met some awesome, smart, freaky people.
