Lemonade. Mmmmm.

/not a drinker

Cranberry and vodka. Pretty much anything and vodka, actually.

Lately: bourbon on the rocks.

Always, always, a classic gin and tonic.

A favorite bartender of mine shares my predicament of having been born 70 years late, and so he makes me the most wonderful, obscure gin cocktails that haven't seen their heyday since the 30s. "The Last Word" is my favorite drink of all, but who can make that for me when I ask?

Gimme a Caucasian, Gary.

Scotch or Irish on the rocks. Bourbon will do in a pinch.

Hazelnut milk with chocolate syrup. Not sure yet how best to make this one alcoholic; Godiva liqueur is too expensive. Maybe kahlua.

At bars, I drink beer; usually an amber or wheat.

BEER.

Mixed shenanigans are for people who don't know how to drink beer.

White russians for special occasions.

Tequila.

No, wait, Mind Eraser.

I was all about White Russians and Black Russians for a while.

Do I have to choose?

Often: gin and tonic. Lately/rarely: salty dog.

Scotch.

I keep trying to drink gin & tonic since it gives me the best euphoria but it turns into a bad headache too quickly.

You didn't say what yours was!

I really like a sidecar, but I usually drink whiskey and soda water because no one can make a sidecar.

whoa, looks like i'm late to the gin&tonic fan club meeting. sign me up.

also, 2 parts diet tonic water + 1 part cranberry juice.

currently: dark and stormy (myer's rum, ginger ale/beer, lime juice)
also good (esp for hot weather): gordon's cup (gin, cucumber, lime, simple syrup)
also: pink pussycats (gin, pink grapefruit, pineapple)

The past 2 weeks I've started every morning with 1/3 coffee, 1/3 kalua, 1/6 irish whiskey, 1/6 creamer.

I call it "Breakfast"

although, i don't drink alcohol anymore because i'm an alcoholic.

bourbon or rye, either neat or diluted to about 70 proof;
martini, 9 parts Bombay (not Sapphire) gin to 1 part Noilly Prat dry vermouth, ideally with a lemon twist, but never an olive.

I love bourbon, scotch, and most other whiskeys on the rocks. If you enjoy bourbon, I highly recommend George Dickel (which is not technically a bourbon). There are only two Tennessee whiskeys in production, Jack Daniels and George Dickel. Dickel is cheaper and amazingly delicious. Everyone I've ever had try it has agreed.

Also, Campari and soda for a change (blast of delicious biterness, but it's too sweet for my palate these days.

Manhattans are the best of the classic drinks in my opinion. Just go easy with the vermouth.
