Ah, the ice-fog.

Somehow when I looked at the weather report before leaving Baton Rouge, I must not have really interpreted the numbers correctly, because somehow I concluded, "Oh, it's springtime there!" but that is really not the case. The city has spared no expense and today performed some of its most dismal weather, a foggy drizzle and nearly freezing. It goes without saying that there are no leaves on the trees yet. The contrast with Baton Rouge could not be greater.

I did something similar during my visit to Rochester last week. On Friday I decided that the 51 degree weather that my weather webpage told me was expected for Saturday would be great for kite-flying. Unfortunately, it turned out to be 30-ish. I must have checked the weather for Cincinnati instead. I was very sad.

What are you doing these days?

Oh, I'm taking boring online classes from U of Cincinnati that will get me my teaching license. I'm going to start applying for teaching jobs soon, but I'm not quite sure where, as Matt hasn't decided where he's going to law school yet (NYU or Georgetown?) so I don't know where I'll be (I'll probably move to wherever he moves to next school year). Meanwhile, I'm mad because Cincinnati isn't as cool as Rochester! Or as cold, though, hahaha!
I'm pretty bored most of the time, on account of my classes. But next year when I become a real person with a real job, I'll probably be busy enough, so I'm trying to enjoy it. Glad to know that you're having fun, though, traveling around the country all the time!
