I arrived at LHO yesterday in time for the day shift (12:00-22:00) and stayed for the night shift (22:00-08:00). Twenty hours here is less bad than I thought and hopefully will jump me into the night-shift schedule. Starting tonight I'm the "scientific monitor" on the night shift for eight nights.

We were at Tweedy this weekend. It rained off and on all night. The smell of the damp sage brush and gravelly earth was heavenly the next day.
