SMTP over other than port 25?

The "ISP" that "serves" splorg.org has apparently shut off service on port 25--which means no more email delivery. We already relegated our webserver to port 8080... any suggestions on how to work around this new obstacle (other than the obvious: getting a real ISP)?

Say it's for a VPN network and that your company's IT is an idiot that refuse to change the port requirements since everyone else connection works.
