public market peppers

[Peppers at the Public Market]

At the public market on Saturday I was really wowed by this pepper merchant. It warms my heart (and tummy!) that such a variety of peppers are available in Rochester. Someone else noticed too; she took this picture and posted it on [livejournal.com profile] rochesterpics. The public market is one of my favorite things in Rochester.

oooooooooooh. I wish our farmer's market was a bit closer and not located far away from the grad school universe -

- or that I had a car or a bike so I could go there despite the distance. alas, my feet won't do for such a journey!

the photo above is nice. the farmer's markets are becoming a favorite place of mine here in illinois. though, sadly, we have nowhere near the variety of peppers. or any other veggie i think. but still good to support the local farmers.

Those look lovely! I'm not a fan of things Hot and Spicy, culinarily-speaking, but they sure are purty to look at.

Farmer's markets are great. Around here we have mostly peaches and sweet potatoes for the moment, but other things will come in season soon.

There's something about vegetables in baskets at a market that always makes for a nice photo.

Julie would be jealous. She has been having trouble finding good peppers at the Public Market.

Unrelated - there is a wiki for Bogotá (http://www.livejournal.com/users/jozefpronek/75422.html) now.
