Y'know, sometimes they find hives of radioactive wasps or colonies of radioactive ants in the Tri-Cities area, so I think your claim is plausibly factual. Bah.

I don't know of jack to do out there. I only know Walla Walla. You can drive down 12 to the Gorge where it's pretty, but you have to go by the stinky pulp mill en route. I think I went to a riverside park in Kennewick once which was nice.

Last night we drove out looking for adventure, and ended up interviewing a checker at Safeway, who was full of useful suggestions and a delightful Kennewickian accent. We learned that West Kennewick Avenue is host to three bars--one called the "Sports Page" which is the sort of place you'd find him, a "sports bar that's not really a sports bar"; and "Evolutions," the hang-out spot for teeny-boppers on Friday nights; and some other place that apparently wasn't too noteworthy. Two Safeway employees also recommended Out and About, the Tri-Cities' gay bar, located on Broad (or was it Court) street in Pasco. Unfortunately we weren't able to find Evolutions, and Sports Page wasn't too our liking. The research will continue tonight.

Head down the Columbia to one of the dams and check out the fish ladders and the salmon spawning. I was there over the weekend. Very cool.
