courses

I think I will be taking some subset of the following:

Physics 246 - Quantum Theory - Rajeev - Hylan 201 - MW 15:25-16:40
Physics 402 - Probability - Shapir - Hylan 618 - MW 11:00-12:20
Physics 404 - Linear Spaces - Shapir - Hylan 618 - MW 11:00-12:20
Physics 408 - Quantum II - Hagen - BL 269 - TuTh 11:05-12:20
Physics 411 - Mechanics - Rajeev - BL 407 - MW 12:30-13:45
Physics 418 - Stat Mech - Teitel - BL 315 - TuTh 09:40-10:55

I notice a curious overlap in professors given the small set of classes.

Also--quantum theory _and_ quantum 2?

Next semester, I will be taking some subset of...

nothing, because I'm a loser like that. :/

Yeah, this is a pretty small department and for some reason sometimes professors teach multiple course in a semester (Rajeev in this case); also the class by Shapir is divided into two half-courses, I think, so it's Physics 402 for the first half of the semester and then Physics 404. Or something. Oh yes, "Quantum Theory" is the 2nd course in quantum mechanics, and "Quantum II" is actually the fourth course. ...

Oh, and btw, for reasons that totally escape me, Nick is in Probability. That has WTF written all over it.

On first scanning your post, I thought you were taking *all* those courses, and I was very disturbed!

I didn't notice "some subset of" until I started commenting, about to say how hardcore you were. I suppose I should have noticed some of the time conflicts as well.

Speaking of which, Shapir is going to be pretty overloaded teaching two courses at the same time in the same room.

w00t, Stat Mech and Linear Spaces! Fun, fun stuff.
