an excellent day

today, with bree:
* public library - me studying, her working on co-op chore schedule. then we both get distracted by the 'travel' section. current interest: the 'camino de santiago' (way of st james)
* walked across the street to dinosaur bbq for a very tasty lunch (me: pulled pork sandwich, sald, bbq beans [divine!], custom brewcrafters' porter)
* back to the public library
* visit the gallery openings at image city and visual studies workshop, coffee at starry nights in between
* home briefly for some eats (lentil soup, squash, toast)
* camping out in the warm upstairs of spot coffee (open till 1am!). chocolate cake and coffee, massive productivity.

* public market as spectators
* studying!

rochester

"Rochester: Made for living" is this city's official tagline, and made for living it might have been, but it is today a zombie town. It is a ghost town, and I am coming to the conclusion that Rochester is actually poisonous. Chemically poisonous it might be too, but a more pervasive poison has to do with the sort of feelings that prompt the local newsweekly to suggest a new tagline: "Rochester: Last to leave, please turn out the lights."
