person-to-person III

On the trip up here (and before that, at the big project meeting at work.. hnar hnar) I was wearing this great t-shirt that mysteriously appeared in my mailbox (a gift from Diane). It says "Red Quark, Blue Quark, One Quark, Two Quark," and has some feynmann diagrams and a long Dr.Seussy poem about particle physics. At In-N-Out this guy noticed it, and said:

"Nice shirt!"

"Thanks," I say as I give a thumbs-up

"I'm a physicisist." he adds...

And then we had a conversation about physics. I think I could have asked for a job.

Something like that is how I got my first job out of high school. Except it was computer science, not physics, of course.

Recently, Sesame Street shirts have come into style. You can find them with cookie monster, Oscar, Elmo, Snuffy, Big Bird... I have HUNTED for one with The Count on it and haven't been able to find one. It's absolutely terrible. Discrimination!
