Graduate school applications... sucking.. my ... life a...wa..a.y.

okay, three for sure: (by which i mean, for sure that i'll apply)

1. Univ California Berkeley
2. Columbia University
3. Univ Maryland College Park
4. Princeton — for emidala

and these are in the running:

• Carnegie Mellon Univ. (CMU)
• Brown University
• Univ Colorado Boulder
• Yale (I don't remember how this one got on the list. I must have been delirious)
• Univ Hawaii (mostly as some kind of joke, yes

Physics in all cases, except Berkeley which is "Applied Science and Technology" and Columbia which is Physics and Applied Physics.

CU-Boulder has such a shiny physics department! i went there for a tech magazine writing conference, and i was a physics major at the time, so i got someone to give me a tour. very impressive. and shiny.

princeton is the only school you need. :) you should fly out and visit it: my physics friends (and they are the smartest and most amazing people I've ever met, you'll love them) will sneak you into the department and the institute for advanced studies, and you'll be friends with steinhart & co in no time. see, getting into princeton is easy! :)
