Cold weather, autumn days, I might as well just repost from last year.

I gave myself plenty of time to travel around in Europe before leaving,
but what I really want now is time to travel in North America -- I'd
go to Halifax and Whitehorse, Quebec City, and Philadelphia.

One month left in Europe—what should I do with the time?

Quebec City is gorgeous. Stop at the Bay of Fundy on your way to Halifax and check out the Hopewell Rocks (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g499179-d217959-Reviews-Hopewell_Rocks-Hopewell_Cape_New_Brunswick.html) as well. :-)

I had the same syndrome in the couple of months before heading home too. Have you been to Chamonix-Mont Blanc yet? The hiking immediately around the town is spectacular, and you can hike to huts in the mountains for affordable places to stay.
