the friendly dogs of athens

For some reason there seemed to be very many extremely good-natured but apparently stray dogs in Athens. I don't know what the story is - they did have collars, but they spent their days loafing around in the park. I wondered whether they were friendly and ventured a pet. They loved the attention!


Hmm, I wonder if these dogs are friendly?

Who wants a belly rub? I do I do!

The government rounded them up for the Olympics but then put them right back on the streets afterwards. I absolutely adored the dogs of Athens and the cats on Mykonos.
