The war of words between the United States and Syria escalated today when the Syrian Foreign Ministry said it hoped to "see the invaders defeated in Iraq." ... [Powell] added, "Syria bears the responsibility for its choices, and for the consequences."

If this war spreads to Syria -- then things will get really ugly.
