My quantum mechanics (QM) class is the most frustrating thing in the world. It's simultaneously the most interesting class and the most frustrating. Interesting inherently, but frustrating because, well, I find the lectures inconceivably incoherent. I wish I could have John Baez as a professor. (But Riverside? no thanks.)

I'd love to have him too. He's always incredibly enlightening.

I wrote to him while I was applying to grad school. I almost applied there. But (1) it's a math department, not a physics department, and (2) it's riverside. Nonetheless, you could probably assemble several complete textbooks from his posts to sci.physics.research. (-:

Hehehe. I totally agree with the Riverside comments. Well... San Bernardino/Rancho Cucamonga.

I usually try to avoid panning entire areas (seriously, I do... operative word being "try")... my favorite is when ex-OC folks say it should be burned and razed - BUT. Ya... that area is such a hell-hole.

I suppose spending a summer building cheap houses next to a graveyard will convince anyone of that, but... well... ever been to Fontana? I didn't fear for my safety when I got lost in Oakland a couple times, but Fontana... that place is scary.
